Hello Radiant Pearl!
Thank you ever so kindly for joining me here today where I am overflowing with updates for you!
Today is special for many reasons, it is the day we go Christmas Caroling with my beautiful sisters, family and some lovely international students who will experience their first ever Christmas here in the U.S. It’s time to pull out the Caroling folders that guide us this glorious season of the year! There are only five days till Christmas Day! I have a few things I would love to share with you as we continue to prepare for many exciting ventures on the way, some include home preparations, DIY Projects, gift wrapping and giving, entertainment and family hosting before travels for the holiday.
The primary reason for this post is to share some of the marvelous resources at our finger tips with the hope that it will inspire you to enjoy some projects of your own in your home. However, this turned out to be post filled with many delightful things because it has been so long since letters from my heart has been shared with you, my lovely readers.
There is something hopeful, therapeutic daring about making a dream a reality with your hands. Here’s the main thing: Our home was a model home when we bought it, which means it came with all the standard fixtures that I would refer to as basic. Safe colors and window treatments to get away with not having to decorate or establish a budget for that very purpose as a new couple.
See, my hubby bought this home as a gift after we viewed multiple houses while courting. We got engaged in this house! Four-five years later I got the serious itch to decorate and truly make it mine in every way.
My lovely interior designer and creative sisters know it takes “mula” money to decorate! However, I have lived the dream that you can decorate lavishly to your liking without spending loads of money. How does one do such a thing? I am glad you asked 😉 Through the wonderful of DIYs, making the old things you already have or have inherited new. Here are a few DIY pieces in my home before and after to match the color scheme I had in mind for my home. Today I will show you the materials used for my most recent piece featuring a few gifts to cherish and share this season. I hope and pray it will encourage you to use what you have radiantly, make the old things new! Between bargain shopping at your local antique or Real Life store, Home Goods, Tuesday Morning, Hobby Lobby, Ross and online, you can find everything you want and need at a bargain or simply make it yours this holiday season of entertaining and fun!

You can see a small part of the little treasure chest that sparked my DIY repurpose adventure. Completed with a dear lady friend who specializes in “Beautiful Homes” I look forward to showing you before and after pictures of this little chest that sat in my home without a care in the world for quite some time until I decided it was time to do something about it’s wretched state! 🙂
